Experience with Organizational and Financing Reform of the Health Sector

is concerned with the development of health systems based on primary health care. Its support to countries is organized through three sub-programmes, reflecting the different levels and approaches necessary in implementing an integrated primary health care strategy. The sub-prograrnmes are: National Health Systems and Policies; The Current Concerns series is intended to give a wider audience to contemporary issues in the achievement of Health For All, as reflected through the work of SHS. These working papers are not o·fficial policy statements by WHO, but are summaries of recent experiences based on SHS work in countries. The issues selected are considered to be of immediate concern to countries, and for which there is strong demand for information.
